Phenazine-1-carboxylic acid

 Product Information

Cat #
MFTP-007
CAS No.
Enzyme Commission Number
Product Overview
▪ The process of being reduced in pathogenic bacteria cells produces toxic superoxide ions and hydrogen peroxide, capable of oxidizing glutathione and transferrin and producing highly cytotoxic hydroxyl radicals.
▪ Phenazines are able to be reduced by NADH and become intermediates in electron transfer, disturbing the normal redox homeostasis in cells (NADH/NAD+ ratio, etc.) and affecting energy production, thus inhibiting microbial growth.
