Human Rhinovirus 16 Nucleic Acid Detection Kit

 Product Information

Cat #
CBMN-DG061
Product Overview
Biochemical assays for microbial pathogen detection work on the basis of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or reverse-transcriptase PCR.
Features
Robust Lyophilized RT-qPCR master mix;
Highly specific detection profile;
High priming efficiency;
Accurate controls.
Technology
Reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) is the gold standard technique for mRNA quantification, but appropriate normalization is required to obtain reliable data. Normalization to accurately quantitated RNA has been proposed as the most reliable method for in vivo biopsies.

 Description

This kit is designed for the in vitro quantification of HRV16 genomes. The kit is designed to have the broadest detection profile possible whilst remaining specific to the HRV16 genome. The kit has been designed for the specific and exclusive in vitro quantification of this subtype and does not detect other human rhinovirus strains. The primers and probe sequences in this kit have 100% homology with a broad range of clinically relevant reference sequences based on a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis.
