Function

A cytochrome P-450 (heme-thiolate) protein isolated from the plant Maesa lanceolata (false assegai). Involved in the biosynthesis of maesasaponins. It also acts on some derivatives of β-amyrin such as erythrodiol or oleanolic acid.
