Enzyme Commission Number
EC 1.14.14.142
Product Overview
High-quality enzyme products.
Well-established quality management system.
Reaction
sophoraflavanone B + [reduced NADPH—hemoprotein reductase] + O2 = leachianone G + [oxidized NADPH—hemoprotein reductase] + H2O
Systematic Name
sophoraflavanone-B,[reduced NADPH—hemoprotein reductase]:oxygen oxidoreductase (2′-hydroxylating)
Function
A membrane-bound cytochrome P-450 (heme-thiolate) protein that is associated with the endoplasmic reticulum. This enzyme is specific for sophoraflavanone B as substrate. Along with EC 2.5.1.70 (naringenin 8-dimethylallyltransferase) and EC 2.5.1.71 (leachianone G 2′′-dimethylallyltransferase), this enzyme forms part of the sophoraflavanone G biosynthetic pathway.
Other name
8-DMAN 2′-hydroxylase
